K-Pop star Jae Joong is taking his star power into the café business in a big way, with branding and package design by South Korean design firm Art & Design International (ADI).
The singer-songwriter created the café to not only serve up hot coffee but also shop for branded merchandise, from coffee tumblers to home goods. Meda Ntumba, spokesperson for ADI, notes that agency designed aprons, blankets and key chains in addition to the café’s foodservice packaging, e.g., disposable coffee cups and paper shopping bags.
“We were responsible for all the work that includes graphic design and illustrations,” Ntumba reports. The overall brand look is sleek and modern with black, white and metallics figuring prominently in the color schemes.

Cafe J Holic is located on the third and fourth floor at 54-6 Myeongdong 2-ga, Chung-gu, Seoul, Korea. It’s about 5 to 10 minutes walking distance after exiting Myeongdong Station Line No.4 Exit 6.
Two most notable shops to spot nearby Cafe J Holic would be the Levi’s store next two shops to MAG N MAG, and Guess clothing store at the corner end; both which are located in the same row as Cafe J Holic.
JYJ Jaejoong’s second coffee franchise carrying a new name, Cafe J Holic, will hold an open event for coffeaholics and fans following a grand opening this December 20. Cafe J Holic will be the second coffee house owned by Jaejoong after Coffee Cojjee, which is located at Apgujeong-ro. Initially thought to be the second outlet for Coffee Cojjee, Cafe J Holic got its new name months ago and rumors had it that Coffee Cojjee will not run by Jaejoong himself anymore.
Cafe J Holic first emerged in the social media back in October with a brand new teaser website. The open event will be held starting on December 20 in conjunction of Christmas and also Jaejoong’s 10th year anniversary of debut.
