South Korean boyband TVXQ!, the K-Pop kings, will officially make a return after three years, and plans to release a new studio album on the 28th of this month.
The TVXQ! duo, Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin, will drop their new album later this March and will embark on different activities in South Korea. This new album will be two years and eight months since their last release of their special album Rise as God in July 2015, and four years since the Tense album in 2014.
After their military discharge last year, Jung and Shim warmed up and released solo songs on SM digital music channel SM STATION. This time around, the duo is preparing an album that fans would appreciate as a gift after a long time of waiting. The new album is said to contain songs that will show TVXQ!’s unique performances and vocals, and songs of various genres.
TVXQ! will celebrate their 15th anniversary of debut this year and is planning to be active in both South Korea and abroad.
TVXQ! will firstly release a new album and meet with the fans. They will focus on activities in South Korea to make up for the hiatus during their respective military services and overseas tours. At the end of last year, they have finished renewing their contract with their agency, S.M. Entertainment, in order to ensure their long-lasting activities in the music industry and to make more opportunities to approach the public with appearing in different TV shows.
Starting with MBC’s I Live Alone, the duo will also appear on tvN’s Life Bar and the fifth season of Mnet’s I Can See Your Voice and present each member’s natural sides instead of stage appearances.
TVXQ! is scheduled to hold concerts as well. Their last concert was in June 2015 in the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnasium, and the duo is currently working on a concert in South Korea this early April. The dates will be revealed soon.
