South Korean boyband TVXQ! reveals hardships that they went through in the military.
TVXQ! shared some episodes of their military lives during the ‘TVXQ! ASIA PRESS TOUR’ held yesterday morning in The Shilla Seoul Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
U-Know Yunho revealed, “I felt a lot of pressure when I was trying out for Special Warrior. Because I am an artist, I was looked upon differently from others. I wanted to have it in a proper way. They have different criteria for 30-year-olds and 25-year-olds. I earned the Special Warrior with scores that passed the criteria for 25-years-olds. I felt lonely when I achieved that. I felt the pressure from people who kept their eyes on me.”
Max Changmin said, “In the military training, we have some kilometer runs. Hundreds of people would run at the same time and get labeled according to their places. I thought to myself, ‘I shouldn’t push myself.’ However, a young pal in his early 20s told me, ‘Bro, will you be able to run that?’ The people who looked down upon me made me struggled so hard. I made it into the 4th place among some hundreds of people. I am fine so far.”
