South Korean boy band JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong has donated 20 million Won in secret to help a Thai fan in a coma.
On March 5, Thailand’s Daily News reported that Kim visited the hospital upon hearing the news that a Thai fan collapsed during her trip to Korea and is now hospitalized.
According to the report, Rapiphorn Nasaarn, aged 25, had a heart attack and collapsed in a club in Seoul while traveling around South Korea on the 24th of last month. She was then transferred to Yonsei University’s Severance Hospital after an attempt to revive her through CPR and she is in an unconscious state until now.
Kim visited Rapiphorn’s ward right after his arrival in South Korea upon learning the news during his The Rebirth of J Asian tour last weekend. The media revealed that Kim held her hands tightly after seeing Rapiphorn’s state and made a 20 million Won (approximately USD17,600) donation to her family.
Kim revealed, “I was very shocked by the news of Rapiphorn. My heart hurts knowing that my fan is going through a harsh situation like this. I exist because of my fans and I wanted to be a little bit helpful.”
The good deeds of Kim was made known through in Thailand online and many Thai fans are reacting positively by saying, “I was moved by his heart-warming good deeds.”
