South Korean boyband JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong sells out 5,000 tickets for his Asian tour in Thailand and was placed first in the country’s trending topic.
Kim successfully launched his The REBIRTH of J Asian tour in Seoul, South Korea and Yokomaha, Japan last week. This time around, he is gaining popularity as tickets to his Bangkok show were sold out within three minutes after the sales opened at 10AM local time earlier today.

An official said, “The Asian tour is helping us a lot at this point when the Hallyu Wave is let up by the Chinese ban on major Korean products. Fans are not only coming in from Asia, but also Europe, North America and South America, despite Kim’s two-year hiatus. Kim posted in his Weibo account for the first time in two years ago and entered top 10 in popularity, and he ranks first in real-time trending in Japan.
After the news regarding the ticket opening for his Bangkok show was announced, Kim was trending on search engine platforms in Thailand when tickets were gone in a few minutes.
Meanwhile, Kim will be holding two shows in Osaka, Japan in Osaka-jō Hall on February 13 and 14, 2017 before visiting Nagoya and Saitama for his Japanese tour.
