South Korean boyband JYJ’s Kim Junsu will make a surprise appearance in a new TV series.
Kim Junsu is scheduled to appear as a guest star in the first episode of tvN’s all new TV series, Introverted Boss. The series will premiere this January 16th and it will be Kim’s second TV series appearance in six years since his SBS’s Scent of a Woman in 2011.
Kim landed the role and he will play as himself as a rising star in the show. Introverted Boss‘s director, Song Hyun Wook, said that he wanted a real-life top star known to many who rarely makes an appearance in public. It was revealed that the actor accepted the role in a heartbeat.
During filming last week, Kim turned up on set with his top star visual. Even though the weather was freezing cold, Kim played and completed his scene cheerfully throughout the entire shooting.
Introverted Boss, directed by Song Hyun Wook and written by Joo Hwa Mi, is an upcoming romance series that revolves around an introverted CEO of a public relations firm, Eun Hwan Ki (played by Yeon Woo Jin) and an extroverted rookie employee, Chae Ro Woon (played by Park Hye Soo). Introverted Boss will take over the tvN’s Mondays–Tuesdays 11.00pm time slot this 16th.
Meanwhile, Kim Junsu is starring in Death Note, The Musical in Seoul Arts Center Opera House as “L”, a brilliant detective. The musical runs from January 3 to January 26, 2017.
