‘Happy Camp’ Ratings Soar With Episode Featuring JYJ’s Yoochun

Chinese variety show, Happy Camp (快乐大本营), has recorded first place in the total viewing rating in China for the episode that JYJ’s Park Yoochun appeared on as one of the special guests.


Earlier today, Park’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment said, “Last month on the 23rd, Park Yoochun appeared on Happy Camp on Hunan Broadcasting System. Later on, that episode was aired on the 12th of this month and topped the viewing ratings.”

The agency continued, “We realized Park Yoochun’s popularity in China once again as he appeared on the real time keyword search chart in Weibo.”

Park was invited for the ‘Special Male Gods’ segment as the only South Korean male actor and he showed off his acting abilities, softness, cuteness, charisma and other charms in each section. He in an all white suit captivated 1,000 audience from the entrance and had a smooth conversation with local emcee and other guests.

Happy Camp is the most popular show in China which has been broadcasting since 1997 on Hunan Broadcasting System, the one of top three China broadcasting stations. It has 70 billion of accumulated viewers, dignity as their essential course for Chinese top stars and global stars, and a high record of viewing ratings.

Local Chinese spokesperson revealed, “Happy Camp featuring Park Yoochun that was broadcast on the 12th earned a 2.242% in ratings, which was much higher than that of previous episode of only 1.992%, and higher than the ratings for average episodes of 1.844%.”

He also added, “Park also recorded the highest viewing ratings among other Korean celebrities who appeared in this program this year. I could feel his popularity in China.”

Meanwhile, Park will release a second regular album in Korea together with his fellow mates as JYJ at the end of this month. He will also meet the audience in his film Sea Fog next month.
