JYJ’s Park Yoochun’s fan meeting event, which became a hot topic even before the start of the event for its fierce ticket competition, was successfully ended.
On July 10, C-JeS Entertainment said, “Park Yoochun has successfully finished his drama’s I Miss You fan meeting that was held in Yokohama Arena, Japan yesterday. The event with a ticket competition rate of 5:1 ran for 3 hours and received enthusiastic response from the Japanese fans who have waited for a long time for Park Yoochun’s visit.”
Since this event was Yoochun’s first solo Japan fan meeting, getting tickets was as difficult as ‘getting a star in the skies’. Chieko-san (31) at the concert said, “I barely got a ticket for Park Yoochun’s fan meeting. Around me, there are fans who didn’t get their tickets and they were in tears.” Miyoki-san (22) said, “Those fans who were unable to get tickets waited at the airport and around the venue in hope to see Park Yoochun’s face.”
Park Yoochun appeared from the back of the auditorium on a gondola and received cheers from 15,000 fans. He stepped onto the opening stage and sang I Miss You‘s theme song Magic Castle. Fans held up yellow papers that read, “Yoochun, we missed you!” and colored the entire venue. Park Yoochun, in return, showed gratitude as well.
The idol revealed episodes in the filming scenes and recollected the drama with fans. They had time to know more of Yoochun through a segment ‘Park Yoochun Is A Person Like This’ and had a good time together.
Yoochun reenacted five best scenes from I Miss You with fans selected by raffles. After acting out various scenes like putting a peg on the fringe, looking at each other under the umbrella and casting a spell to forget bad memories, he gave out signed drama DVDs and original soundtrack CDs to fans who were not chosen to be on stage with him.
Park Yoochun spent time by comparing himself to Han Jung Woo in the drama while sincerely answering questions on ‘If I Were Han Jung Woo’ and his view of love. His fellow labelmates Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu made a surprise appearance through a special video message that was played, showing their friendship.
Park Yoochun expressed his feeling, “I was moved as soon as I stepped on the stage. This is the first time for me to meet fans alone in Japan, so I was nervous and I worried that my Japanese would be clumsy, but I’m so happy that we had a good time together. I will greet again with a better shape.”
Park Yoochun wrapped the event by singing Miss Ripley’s soundtrack The Empty Space for You and his favorite song Leaning On You. After the fans requested for an encore, he sang his self-composed song Walking With Her In Spring and threw signed balls to fans while concluding the 3-hour fan meeting.
Meanwhile, Park Yoochun will be preparing for the release of JYJ’s second regular album at the end of July and will meet the audience with his movie Sea Fog in August.
