While EXO Kris has filed a court case against S.M. Entertainment to nullify his exclusive contract, the past controversies of the agency have been raised up again.

Law firm Han Gyul has revealed on May 15 and said, “It is true that [EXO Kris] has filed a lawsuit against S.M. Entertainment. We are in the state where we received the court case that will confirm the presence of the exclusive contract against S.M. Entertainment.”

Recently, it is known that the band’s Chinese member, Kris, has applied for a law case suit against S.M. Entertainment. Previously, Han Geng of Super Junior, who was also a Chinese, had filed a similar case against the same agency and eventually withdrew from the band.

Besides, another similar case which was shocking to the fans by sudden contract problem also existed in TVXQ!.

In 2009, TVXQ! also had issues with their agency regarding a so-called “slave contract”. Kim Junsu, Park Yoochun and Kim Jaejoong, who were former members of TVXQ!, had filed a case against S.M. Entertainment at Seoul JoongAng court to nullify the effectiveness of their exclusive contract. Afterwards, the trio formed JYJ and are performing brilliantly, while the rest of members, Changmin and Yunho, are actively continuing their activities as TVXQ!.
