JYJ Revealed Official Statement, “Mobile Phone Threat Irrelevant To Park Yoochun”

The management revealed its official statement in the news that JYJ’s Park Yoochun was threatened by a mobile phone.

On March 12, JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment revealed that, “The Seoul Gangnam Police has arrested Ms. Kim for picking up a mobile phone which belongs to person A, who is an acquaintance of Park Yoochun, and threatened to release information relating to Yoochun.”

According to C-JeS Entertainment, Ms. Kim found Park Yoochun after extracting personal information from person A’s mobile phone that she obtained last month. She threatened to sell the information to the press or leak it to the social media before demanded 100 million won (about USD 93 million) in return for it.

Hence, the agency explained, “Our company which is in charge of Yoochun’s management immediately requested for a cooperation from the investigative agency as the crime is severe because she stole personal information from the lost belongings. Thus, there was no reason to hide the pictures and contents in the phone. Since 100 million won which she demanded was a large sum, she was instantly arrested and sent to the prosecutor’s office.”

C-JeS Entertainment continued, “Park Yoochun is not even the owner of that phone and is unrelated to this case. He did not know the details of this incident as he is currently focusing in filming.” They said, “The press which reported on this case indirectly helps the offense of the suspect, so we ask the people to refrain from a stretched interpretation or coverage.

On the other hand, Yoochun is currently appearing in SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama entitled ‘Three Days’.
