SM Entertainment’s global show brand SMTown Live hosted its third successful world tour concert in Los Angeles.
The SMTown Live World Tour III in Los Angeles took place on May 20 (Local time) at the Honda Center located in California. The concert featured the big SM stars BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation (SNSD), SHINee, f(x) and EXO.
The teams entertained their 12,000-member audience with a variety of new performances including a parade of old hits.
The collaboration performances, the main attraction of SMTown Live, featured TVXQ’s Max Changmin and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun singing Bruno Mars’ Just the Way You Are, SHINee’s Key, f(x)’s Amber and EXO’s Kris singing Far East Movement’s Like a G6 and SNSD’s Jessica and f(x)’s Krystal singing Katy Perry’s California Gurls.
The concert managed to draw in many named celebrities to witness the explosiveness of the global show brand.
Approximately 200 renowned producers and composers dropped in for the concert, including Quincy Jones, The Underdogs and Brian Kennedy.
The Underdogs is one of the biggest producing teams in the world, known for its work with Beyonce’s Listen and Chris Brown’s Turn Up the Music, and Brian Kennedy has previously worked with Rihanna and Jamie Foxx.
Many other American stars could also be found in the audience, including actor and singer Simon Curtis, who previously showed his attachment to SNSD’s Sooyoung through Twitter.
Facebook launched an exclusive K-Pop page named ‘KPOP on Facebook’ with content from SMTown’s LA performance, and officials from Facebook were also there at the scene.
SMTown Live will continue through Taipei on June 9, Tokyo from August 4-5 and Seoul on August 18.
