S. Korea Boyband Member To Begin Solo Asia Tour

Kim Junsu, a member of popular South Korean boyband JYJ, on Wednesday announced plans for his first solo tour, a day after releasing his first solo album.

Kim, also known as Xia, said he would perform in seven Asian cities including Bangkok, Taipei, Jakarta and Shanghai from May to July, starting with a concert in Seoul later this week.

In a handout photo released by C-Jes Entertainment, Kim Junsu, a member of popular South Korean boyband JYJ announced plans for his first solo tour, a day after releasing his first solo album in Seoul.

JYJ’s Junsu Says New Music Video Cost ‘A Lot of Money’

Seoul (The Korea Herald/ANN) – Junsu, a member of the popular music group JYJ and a rising musical star, said on Wednesday that he wouldn’t mind if he was called Xia Junsu, which he had used for the formerly five-member boyband TVXQ.

He said that his newest music video of “Tarantallegra,” the first single from his solo album, may be one of the most expensive music videos he has ever made.

“If you had watched it, you could’ve imagined that it would be one of the most expensive music videos. If I considered only the Korean market, it would be excessive,” Junsu said at a press conference in Seoul on Wednesday.

JYJ′s Kim Jae Joong Snapped at ′Time Slip Dr. Jin′ Press Conference in Traditional Attire [PHOTOS]

We thought we′d seen Kim Jae Joong sport every kind of fashion there was, but he took us by surprise when he showed up at the Time Slip Dr. Jin press conference in full traditional garb.

The press conference took place on May 17 at the Lotte Hotel in Sogo-dong, Seoul.

The fantasy medical drama Time Slip Dr. Jin is based on a Japanese manga of the same title that has been serialized for 10 years by Motoka Murakami. The drama will show how the best doctor in Korea travels through time from 2012 to the Joseon Period of the 1860s and works as a doctor there. It will start airing from May 26.

JYJ′s Junsu′s Wild Appearance on Music Video Set

JYJ′s Kim Junsu is continuing to tweet his wild and surprising music video appearances and has put up new looks of himself from his video.

On May 17, Kim Junsu tweeted, “Tarantallegra” and later in the day, “Secret”.

The first picture showed Kim Junsu with blond hair in a purple jacket with an ultra-deep V-neck (SNL, anyone?).

The second picture showed Kim Junsu with black hair in a short bob and a black see-through laced shirt. In both pictures he wore smoky makeup and his color contacts.

JYJ′s Kim Junsu’s Solo Album Pre-Orders Reaches 100,000

Despite being unable to hold any stages on music broadcasts, JYJ′s Kim Junsu is finding stellar success from the release of his solo album.

On May 17, Kim Junsu’s C-JeS entertainment said, “Kim Junsu’s solo album has reached 100,000 copies in pre-orders and is heating up the music market with Synnara’s online site even selling out completely and needed to be re-stocked.”
